This Privacy Policy describes what information PuzzThePic (the “App”) collects, how it is used, and your choices. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.
| Category | What & why |
|---|---|
| Account | When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email address, display name, and a unique account identifier. We use these to create your PuzzThePic profile. |
| Puzzle uploads | When you create a puzzle, the photo and the puzzle metadata (difficulty, optional challenge text) are uploaded to our servers so the recipient can download and play. Uploaded photos are automatically deleted after 2 days. |
| Puzzle activity | We store a small record of puzzles you send and receive — locally on your device, and (for shared puzzles) on our servers — so the app can show your history and route shared puzzles correctly. |
| In-app purchases | If you buy credits, the platform (Apple or Google) processes the payment and shares a receipt with us for verification. We do not receive your credit-card details. |
| Advertising | The App shows ads delivered by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect a device advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android) and standard analytics data to deliver and measure ads. You can reset or limit this identifier in your device settings. |
| Diagnostics | We may collect anonymized crash reports and usage metrics through Firebase to keep the App working. |
PuzzThePic uses the following services. Each has its own privacy policy:
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the third-party services listed above, only to the extent necessary to operate the App. We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or to investigate fraud, safety, or violations of our Terms of Service.
PuzzThePic is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Our servers (Firebase / Google Cloud) may store data in the United States or other countries. By using the App you consent to those transfers.
We use reasonable technical measures to protect the data we collect, including encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute protection.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
